I was with a group of young children very recently; there was this baby girl who is just 11months and the youngest. She’s walking already and very pleasant baby.
During snacks, I gave them fruit shoot drink but I realized she didn’t drink it. So I gave it back to her again and l was observing what she will do with it. Then I noticed she was struggling to have a grip of it with her mouth then I took it from her and held it myself fed her before she could enjoy her drink. Whereas, the rest of the children had theirs drinks without assistance.

The point is, when it comes to child’s development, a month is enough to make a huge difference in their growth and in the way they handle or do things. In as much as children develop at different rate, age also plays a significant role.
That is why it is not good to compare your child with another even if they are in the same age group.

Leave your child to develop in his/her own pace and not put pressure on them just because you saw your friend’s child of same age group doing things your child is not doing yet forgetting that her child is a month or two months older than your child.

Some children also develop at fast rate which is still ok but if your case is not of a concern, it is ok for your child to take their time but if the other way round, please seek professional help.
